Cameron McIntosh was appointed Chief Executive of Southland District Council in November 2020.

Prior to joining the Southland District Council as Chief Executive, Cameron spent 10 years at Invercargill City Council holding executive positions, including General Manager of Strategy and Engagement and Director of Works and Services. Cameron had previously worked for Southland District Council in 2007 as the Group Manager for Services and Assets.

Before joining the public sector, Cameron worked for 12 years at the Alliance Group holding several executive positions.

Cameron holds a Bachelor of Technology from Massey University.
